Case study
Knee Protector Development & Manufacturing
This case study focuses on the research, development and validation of a motorcycle knee protection system integrating composite structural engineering with advanced thermoformed comfort components, followed by its transition to industrialization and series production.
The composite protective shell was designed and manufactured using sustainable certified materials sourced through our internal network ensuring compliance with environmental standards while maintaining structural requirements for high-performance motorcycle protection.
The comfortable internal padding has been designed, developed and mass produced using our thermoforming know-how. This component required specific material selection and forming processes to achieve the necessary cushioning properties while maintaining compatibility with the protective shell integration and overall product assembly.
The 3D CAD models were developed following the technical drawings provided by the client, translating their specifications into detailed digital designs for both shell and padding components. Initial prototypes were produced in-house, with iterative refinements based on client feedback. Following prototype approval, we proceeded to mold manufacturing and full-scale mass production implementation, supporting the complete industrialization process.
